David is a choreographer, musician, and educator. He currently serves on the resident faculty of Cincinnati Ballet's Otto M. Budig Academy. David enjoyed a 15-year performing career beginning at Charlotte Ballet and ending as a soloist with Cincinnati Ballet. During his performing career, he danced numerous featured roles in the works of Jennifer Archibald, George Balanchine, Jiří Bubeníček, Ma Cong, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Justin Peck, Dwight Rhoden, and Twyla Tharp as well as much of the classical repertoire. His choreography has been performed throughout the United States by professional companies, universities, and pre-professional schools, and has been recognized by various awards and accolades. In 2017 his duet "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" won the second prize at the McCallum Theatre Choreography Festival (Division I). In addition, Regional Dance America has awarded him the "Habich-Corey Choreography Award" and the "Project Tier Award for Excellence in Choreography." David has twice been invited to the New York Choreographic Institute, where he created new works on dancers from the New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet. David has also created works for Ballet Academy East and the dance department at Point Park University.

Most recently, David had the honor of creating "Our Story," a world premiere commissioned by Cincinnati Ballet for their inaugural Bold Moves Festival. This one-act work, created in partnership with Cincinnati’s Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, serves as a living memorial to the victims of the Holocaust and a plea to audiences to root out hate within themselves and their communities and to recognize the humanity of their neighbors.

Since its inception in 2018, David has served as Program Director of Cincinnati Ballet's Collegiate Summer Intensive; a partnership between Cincinnati Ballet and the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music.

David was honored to be nominated for the Rolex Mentor Protégé Arts Initiative's 2014-2015 cycle. Additionally, he has been nominated for the Princess Grace choreography fellowship.

Also an accomplished pianist, David has served as a ballet class accompanist for Cincinnati Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, The Chautauqua Institution, and Regional Dance America. He has also played as a guest accompanist for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Ballet Academy East, University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, and New York City Ballet, and was the founding principal accompanist of @worldwideballetclass during the Covid-19 pandemic.
