David is a choreographer, musician, and a member of Cincinnati Ballet. After training under Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Darleen Callaghan, Patricia McBride, Kathryn Moriarty, and Mark Diamond he danced 8 seasons with Charlotte ballet (formerly North Carolina Dance Theatre). In his time there he danced numerous featured roles in the works of George Balanchine, Jiří Bubeníček, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Dwight Rhoden, and Twyla Tharp as well as much of the classical repertoire. His choreography has been performed throughout the United States and has been recognized by various awards and accolades. His work has been presented at Regional Dance America's South Eastern Regional Ballet Association for eight years. Regional Dance America has awarded him the "Habich-Corey Choreography Award" and the "Project Tier Award for Excellence in Choreography." In 2011 he was asked to create a work for the School of American Ballet through the New York Choreographic Institute. In autumn of 2013 David returned to the New York Choreographic Institute to create a new work on members of the New York City Ballet. Also in 2013, David created a new ballet for Ballet Academy East’s Winter Showcase. Most recently David staged one of his ballets on the dance department at Point Park University.

David was honored to be a nominated for the Rolex Mentor Protégé Arts Initiative’s 2014-2015 cycle. Additionally, he has been nominated for the Princess Grace choreography fellowship.

Also an accomplished pianist, David has served as a ballet class accompanist for Charlotte Ballet, The Chautauqua Institution, and Regional Dance America. He has also played as a guest accompanist for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Ballet Academy East, Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, and New York City Ballet.
